Obituary

Marilyn Massey passed away on August 3, 2026, in Flower Mound, Texas, after a battle with cancer. She was born on July 7, 1958, at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri.

Marilyn built a successful career with AAFES, where she was in charge of the construction of stores. She was highly respected for her work, earned many awards throughout her career, and was known for being the best at what she did.

Outside of work, Marilyn loved spending time with her dogs and working on her land in Oklahoma. She also enjoyed welcoming family and friends into her home and loved entertaining visitors. Her generosity and hospitality made everyone feel at home.

Marilyn was known as a generous and loyal person. She was a devoted friend and someone her family could always count on. She would want to be remembered as a loving sister, aunt, and friend.

She is survived by her sister, Shelly Benge of Hartford, Arkansas; her brother, Justin Massey of Trenton, Texas; her nephew, Jeremy Benge of Hartford, Arkansas; her niece, Cheyenne Massey of Eureka Springs, Arkansas; her nephew, Rustyn Massey of Eureka Springs, Arkansas; her nieces, Brooke and Brennan of Trenton, Texas; and her great-niece, Kaydence Benge of Hartford, Arkansas.

She was preceded in death by her father, Joe Massey; her mother, Delrita Massey; and her brother, Danny Massey.

Marilyn will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her kindness, generosity, and loyalty will always be remembered.
