Marsha (Buettner) Jacoway passed away peacefully surrounded by friends on April 18, 2026 after a battle with myelodysplastic syndrome. She was 80 years young at the time of her passing.

Born in Clintonville, Wisconsin to Wylie and Dorthea Buettner, Marsha moved to Southern California in 1962 and was a resident of Anaheim. She built a career in telecommunications at AT&T and in recent years worked in the school districts as a teachers aid for special needs children. Simultaneously, she and a group of close friends began painting children’s faces at carnivals and other events.

Marsha was an active member of the Cypress Church of Christ. She was a caregiver for both her parents at the time of their passing as well as taking care of her former husband, Ralph Jacoway, when he died of cancer. She is survived by family and many friends.

Marsha was passionate about Zydeco music and would often host parties at her home for musicians who would visit from Louisiana. She was very generous in sharing food, libations, laughter, and music whenever her friends would come into town.

A service will be held for Marsha on Saturday, August 8, 2026 at 1pm at the Cypress Church of Christ located at 9771 Walker Street, Cypress, CA 90630.
