Obituary

With deep sadness, we share the passing of Mary Mam, also known as Seng Leang Mam, who was born on July 6, 1948, in Cambodia, and passed away on September 9, 2026, in Los Angeles, California, due to cancer.

Mary was a kind, patient, caring, and loving woman. She was a devoted mother and grandmother, a gentle soul with the heart of a fighter. She loved her dogs, Spunky and Aurora, and especially enjoyed going on walks with Aurora. She also loved watching her Korean dramas.

Mary worked hard as a seamstress to provide for her family. Throughout her life, she endured a great deal, including the Pol Pot war, coming to America as a refugee, a stroke, a heart valve replacement, and cancer. Through it all, she remained strong.

Mary is survived by her husband, Johnny Ke; her daughters, Christine Merana and Susan Ke; her sister, Ashley Mam; her niece, Alice Mam; her son-in-law, Jaesen Merana; her grandson, Ellis Merana; and her beloved pet dog, Aurora.

She was preceded in death by her beloved pet dog, Spunky.

Mary will be remembered for her kindness, strength, caring heart, and devotion to her family.

An ash scattering ceremony at the sea will be held at a later date, with details to be determined.
