Norma Mowrer Grant, who was born and lived 87 of her 91 years in Farmington, New Mexico, went to be with the Lord on August 16th after living with dementia for over six years. She was valedictorian of the 1953 Farmington High School class.  She graduated from UNM and taught at elementary schools, Country Club and Ladera del Norte, for 18 years. After retiring, she continued her service as an auxiliary volunteer at San Juan Regional Medical Center.

Norma cherished her family and enjoyed reading, walking, and gardening. A lifelong member of First Baptist Church, she lived out her Christian faith through many roles, including teaching, department leadership, committee service, and more than sixty years as church pianist. Her kindness, devotion, and service continue to inspire all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents Delbert and Ellen Mowrer, brother Lyle Mowrer, sister Joyce Elder, husband Tom B. Grant, Jr., and grandson Matthew Grant.
