Peter J. Yang, beloved brother and devoted servant of Christ, passed away on December 19, 2025, due to a heart attack. He was 56 years old.

Peter was born on August 1, 1969, in Seoul, South Korea. In July of 1977, he immigrated to the United States with his family, beginning a new chapter marked by faith, perseverance, and service. The family first settled in Los Angeles and later made their home in Glendale, California, where Peter spent much of his formative years.

Peter attended Roosevelt Middle School and graduated from Glendale High School in 1988. While his education helped shape him, it was his heart for others that truly defined his life.

Peter’s greatest joy was serving the homeless in the Skid Row area of Los Angeles. He devoted himself wholeheartedly to caring for those in need and faithfully sharing the message of Jesus Christ with compassion, sincerity, and unwavering passion. His faith was not merely spoken—it was lived out daily through humble service and genuine love.

To his family, Peter was passionate, loving, and deeply devoted. He shared a special bond with his nephews and nieces, caring for each of them as if they were his own children. His warmth, kindness, and steady presence brought comfort and joy to those who knew him best.

Peter is best remembered for his passion—for his faith, his service to others, and his love for family.

He is survived by his brothers, Sam (Ann) Yang and Joseph (Seani) Yang, as well as his beloved nephews and nieces, who will continue to carry forward his memory and legacy of faith and compassion.

Peter will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered until the day we are reunited in Christ.
