Our beloved Angel on Earth, Phyllis Anita Wylde, passed away peacefully on May 17, 2026. She was born on May 11, 1943 and lived to be 83.

This iconic matriarch of our family waged a valiant courageous fight for her life, her body ultimately succumbing to cancer.

During that battle she greeted every day with love, laughter, a smile, a stiff upper lip and the absolute selfless care and love from her equally courageous daughter and caretaker, Joani.

Her family and her dearest of friends shared and reflected on loving thoughts and stories of which there are many. A very bittersweet journey it has been. We are beyond blessed to have been a part of her life and her a part of ours.

The legacy of this magnificent woman will live on forever. Absolutely anyone who knew her would come to know what a loving, caring, honest and true to the core human being she was.

An immensely talented seamstress, quilter, appreciator of fine arts, dance and fine dining, travel, history and reading. She had a gift of caring for others whether it was taking care of her sweet neighbors or her becoming a nurse at the age of 62! Her greatest passion was her love for her children, grandchildren and her dear friends.

There aren’t enough words to properly convey, but her loving, caring heart is what she will forever be remembered for.

Her life did not begin easy, but she lived a humble life rich in love, travel and adventure.

Our Angel Phyllis is survived by her children, Joani Clement and son-in-law Jean; Terrance Phelps and daughter-in-law Maral; her beloved grandchildren, Ian, Evan, Natalie, Anahid, and Douglas; and her sisters, Nadine Stonum and Shirley Young.

She will never be forgotten; she will forever be a part of our lives.
