Phyllis Ann Moyer, 87, passed away peacefully on September 26, 2026, in McKinney, Texas, just two days before her 88th birthday.

Born Phyllis Ann McCray, Phyllis was from Fort Pierce, Florida, and was the daughter of Francis David McCray and Dorothy (Dot) McCray.

She is preceded in death by her father, mother, and a sister, Dorothy (Dottie) Bucheck.

She is survived by her brother, James (Jim) McCray.

Phyllis was the wife of Robert Neil Moyer and the mother of four sons: Robert “Bo” Moyer, David (Christy) Moyer, Michael (Glenda) Moyer, and Thomas (Kendra) Moyer.

She was affectionately known by her family as Mom, Babe, Aunt Babe, Granny, and Grandma Babe.

She was a proud grandmother to 15 grandchildren: Kylee, Anthony, Joe, Mike, Alexa, Davey, Zach, Adam, Lillie, Caroline, Jackson, Ian, Ben, Paloma, and Oliver, 12 great grandchildren, and a loving aunt to all of her nieces and nephews.

Phyllis had a deep love for horses and for being surrounded by nature. She found peace in the outdoors and had a special connection to animals and the natural world.

But more than anything, her children were everything to her.

Being a mother was at the center of Phyllis’s life. She was caring, supportive, and always there. Through the good times and the difficult ones, her sons knew they had a mother who loved them and stood beside them.

Her family was her greatest love and her greatest legacy. That love now lives on through her four sons, her grandchildren, and the generations that will follow.

She loved her family. She stood by her family. She was always there.

Rest peacefully, Mom. After a lifetime of being there for us, now you can rest.

Celebrations of life in McKinney, Texas and South Florida are being planned. Details to follow.
