Obituary

Rafael Moreno Sanchez passed away on October 18, 2025, in Perris, California, from metastatic gastric cancer. He was born on August 14, 1997, in Santa Ana, California.

Rafael was a loving husband, devoted father, great son, awesome brother, and loyal friend. He had a smile and laugh that beamed with light. He had a loud sense of humor and was very social, kind, thoughtful, and generous.

He was very proud of starting his own family and home, but especially proud of his daughter Marilyn Rose, who was only 9 months old when he passed away. 

Rafael loved living life to the absolute fullest. He enjoyed spending time outdoors and doing things like hiking, biking, and especially fishing. 

He worked as a Welder Helper for the Southern California Pipe Trades Administration, Local Union 250. Rafael took great pride in his work, particularly in his truck and welding machine that he made into his own welding rig.

In his last few years, he gave his life to God. He had a strong desire to be in church, worship the Lord, study the Bible, and was even baptized. 

He would want to be remembered for his faith in Jesus Christ and his deep love for his family and friends.

Rafael is survived by his wife Kayla, daughter Marilyn, father Rafael Sr, mother Evangelina, sisters Esmeralda, Eva, and Lilia, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A memorial service will be held on November 1, 2025, at Calvary Chapel Romoland.

Though his time with us was far too short, he will continue to live on in the hearts and minds of every person who knew him. We take comfort in knowing he is in Heaven with our Lord and Savior, no longer suffering, and we will reunite with him again one day.
