Raymond Thomason was born on July 8, 1983, at JPS Hospital in Fort Worth, Texas, and passed away on May 30, 2026, in Joshua, Texas.

Raymond worked as a car mechanic and was known for his big heart, compassion, and larger-than-life personality. He never met a stranger and was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. His sense of humor was unforgettable, whether he was telling a long-winded joke, enjoying an intense game of Monopoly, or simply making those around him laugh.

Family was at the center of Raymond's life. He loved spending time with his loved ones, enjoying lake days, cooking, working on cars, and attending church. One of his proudest accomplishments was becoming a father. After ten years together, he married the love of his life, Erica, on November 8, 2021. Another significant milestone in his life was accepting Christ into his heart and being baptized in 2025.

Raymond would want to be remembered as a loving and caring man who found his faith in God and would do anything for his family and friends. His generosity, humor, and unwavering devotion to those he loved left a lasting impact on everyone who knew him.

He is survived by his wife, Erica Fay Thomason; his daughters, Lorraine Lee-Rene Herd, Elizabeth Ann Marie Taylor, and Summer Raine Thomason; his sons, Chaden Ray Cox and Tyler Martin Ray Thomason; his granddaughter, Phoebe Amelia Drake; his mother, Carol Stewart and her husband, John; his father, Tony Bryant Thomason and his wife, Donna; his sister, Amanda Carolyn McNutt; and his brother, Anthony Drew Thomason.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Donald Wayne McMullen, Betty Carolyn McMullen, Raymond Eugene Thomason, and Jean Moore Thomason; and his father-in-law, Thomas Ray Sisk.

Memorial service information will be announced by the family at a later date.

Raymond will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his family, friends, and all whose lives he touched.
