Rebecca Risher was born on May 8, 1954. She left behind her three children; Danika Risher, Sarah Nelson, and Adam Nelson, her three grandchildren; Robin Churchfield O'Connor, Damien VanDawark, and Viola Brunz, and her loving partner Kelly Smeaton. She was preceded in death by Her parents; Bill and Dorothy Risher, Her brother Bill Risher and her sister Martha Sanders- Ledoux.
Becky was a beautiful, intelligent, hilarious woman. She loved pool and was made MVP of the greater Seattle women's league. One of her favorite stories was how she let Dave Craig of Seattle Seahawks fam, into her liquor store after hours and bragged about having an MVP trophy just like he did.
She loved the holidays, but especially Halloween. She would decorate her house with spooky, silly things all year long. She had a giant spider that had a wide array of hats and a mannequin named Guy that she would dress to suit the season. She loved her pets and had many over the years. She left behind Cocoa, Mini, and Stinky. They miss her too.
She really enjoyed horror movies and books and absolutely adored Stephen King. She was artistic, a trait she passed down to her children and grandchildren. She loved to draw when she was younger, and got into making terrariums when she was older. She was an amazing cook, and her lasagna will be greatly missed.
She was only 72 but her final words were how she was thankful that she lived as long as she did. We were thankful too.
Edna St. Vincent Millay
1892 –1950
I will be the gladdest thing
Under the sun!
I will touch a hundred flowers
And not pick one.
I will look at cliffs and clouds
With quiet eyes,
Watch the wind bow down the grass,
And the grass rise.
And when lights begin to show
Up from the town,
I will mark which must be mine,
And then start down!
