Rene Singleton was born on July 2, 1923, in Southampton, England, and passed away on April 2, 2026, in Santa Clarita, California, at the age of 102.

Rene worked as a Materials Manager in healthcare and retired from Sherman Oaks Hospital. She lived a full and active life, with a love for animals, traveling to foreign destinations, and spending time at the beach. She especially enjoyed going to the horse racing tracks including Hollywood Park, Santa Anita, and Del Mar with Sandra, and was part of the Railbird Club at Hollywood Park, often attending early morning workouts.

She loved her friends and enjoyed playing mahjong. Rene was active and adventurous, taking pride in running 5Ks, playing soccer, and traveling by bus with her teenage daughter from Mexicali to Mazatlán, Mexico. As a World War II survivor, she experienced and overcame significant moments in history.

Rene cherished the holidays, especially Christmas stockings and Easter baskets, and enjoyed spending time at Santa Monica Beach with her children and friends. She loved life and the moments she shared with those around her.

She is survived by her daughters, Sandra Bike and Michelle Oakland; her son, Patrick Singleton; and her granddaughter, Brittany Singleton.

She was preceded in death by her former husband, Robert Singleton; her mother, Angela Gissing; and her daughter, Vicki Chesbro.

Rene will be remembered for her love of life, her adventurous spirit, and the many memories she created with her family and friends.
