Richard Calixtro Guerra passed away on July 27, 2026, in Spring, Texas, due to health complications. He was born on May 26, 1963, in Houston, Texas.
Richard worked as a mechanic, a career that matched his lifelong passion for cars. He loved spending time under the hood of a vehicle, taking road trips whenever the opportunity arose, and listening to rock music. Some of his favorite bands included KISS, Queen, Led Zeppelin, The Rolling Stones, ZZ Top, AC/DC, Aerosmith, Poison and Guns N' Roses.
Those who knew Richard described him as a grouchy, grumpy teddy bear. While he enjoyed his quiet time, he also treasured being with his family. He loved getting behind the wheel, hitting the open road, and enjoying the music that brought him so much happiness.
Richard would want to be remembered happiest spending time under the hood of a car, behind the wheel, and listening to his favorite rock music.
He is survived by his stepfather, Nicolas Tristan; his sisters, Rebecca Ann Solis and Tina Louise Urdiales; his brothers-in-law, Armando and Jose; his nieces, Sarah, Jericka, Suzie, Jazmien, Diana, and Nevanni; and his nephews, Kiki, Luis, Micah, Jaydus, Alex, Anthony, Andrew, and Nicali.
He was preceded in death by his father, Calixtro Guerra; his mother, Diana Louise Romero; and his brother, Larry Lee Guerra.
In accordance with Richard's wishes, services will be held privately with immediate family only.
His family shared these loving words in his memory:
"Richard, you were greatly loved and touched each of our lives. You will be missed, but we know you're in your classic 1969 Plymouth Barracuda, waving as you drive away to heaven with the biggest smile on your face, listening to 'Stairway to Heaven' and banging your head. Rock on, Big Brother. Love you forever."
