Richard Lewis Mihelitch

Richard Mihelitch Jr. was born on August 23, 1957, in Buckley, Washington, and passed away on September 17, 2026, in Seattle, Washington, due to multiple complications.

Richard loved the outdoors, motorcycles, and four-wheel drives. Growing up on farms in Quincy and Othello raking hay and taking care of Hereford cattle he learned the lessons of country living. He later worked as a firefighter and EMT for 31 years, starting at what was kadlec hospital and  between Spokane Valley and Hanford area where that was his pride and joy to be of public service and share the brotherhood of that profession. After that he switched to mostly being truck driver, doing short and long hauls that took him across the United States.

Richard was strong in his beliefs and had a deep love for animals. He was proud of his children and family he had and made time when they were around. He was also proud of his country and of living in the USA, not to be wavered from or apologize for his patriotism from anyone.

Richard is survived by his ex wife, Sherrie Mihelitch; his son, John Mihelitch; his daughter, Laci Mihelitch; and his sister, Kim Mihelitch along with many family members in western Washington.

Richard will be deeply missed by his family and all who knew and loved him.
