With heavy hearts, we announce the unexpected passing of Robert Duerr on July 31, 2026, in San Diego, California. He was 57 years old.

Born on October 22, 1968, in Oceanside, California, Robert was remembered as a kind and gentle man whose heart was always with his family. He found peace in the sound of the ocean and loved spending time at the beach.

One of Robert's proudest accomplishments was achieving one year of sobriety as a recovering alcoholic. He was also deeply proud of earning his high school diploma online about a year before his passing.

Above all, Robert was most proud of his children. He would have wanted to be remembered as a kind and loving father who cared deeply for his family.

Robert is survived by his former wife, Krystal Duerr; his son, Brett Duerr; and his daughters, Jennifer Duerr, Brittany Duerr, and Stephanie Duerr.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Duerr; his mother, Leilani Duerr; and his brother, Brett Duerr.

In accordance with his wishes, Robert was cremated, and no services will be held.

Though he is no longer with us, Robert will be remembered for his kindness, his love for the ocean, his commitment to bettering himself, and the love he had for his children. His memory will remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
