With deep sorrow and immense love, we celebrate the life and memory of Robert Stanley Clark, Jr., a brother, friend, uncle, and loved one.

Robert Stanley Clark, Jr. was born on August 10, 1980, in Washington, D.C., to Carol Janice Jones and Robert S. Clark, Sr.  He was one of three children born to Carol Janice Jones. Robert spent his early years attending school in Washington, DC, and Maryland. In 1998, Robert graduated from Bowie High School.  A year later, Robert decided to serve his country by joining the United States Army. He bravely trained and served as a Medical Specialist.   He received several awards during his time in the Army and received an honorable discharge.

Following his tour in the army, Robert headed to California. He always dreamed of moving to California since he was young.  In California, he lived in Modesto for two years and then moved to Los Angeles, where he remained for over 15 years.

Robert had an infectious laugh and an “interesting” sense of humor, and only those who truly knew him “got the jokes”.  He loved to travel whenever he could, and his most recent travel experience was to Mexico, which he enjoyed immensely. He loved playing video games and was really good with technology, especially computers. He also loved reposting calm, serene, and peaceful scenario videos on social media. He also gave his life to Jesus Christ before leaving this earth.

Robert is survived by his sister, Kim Ray, Wendell Ray (brother-in-law); and his nephews, Wendell III, Jamal, and Michael Ray.  He is also survived by a host of foster brothers (Buddy H, James, Lee, Derek, Delbert & Dalton), extended family, and friends who will miss him dearly. Lastly, Robert had a special relationship with Barbara Jones, whom he affectionately calls "Mom."

He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered, always.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Cheltenham Veterans Cemetery, located at 11301 Crain Highway, Cheltenham, MD 20623, on June 4, 2026 at 1:00 PM.

Reflections:

I love you to the moon and back, my brother

You went away so suddenly

We did not say goodbye

But you and I could never part

Cause memories never die.

Brother, now that you are gone

I promise to be strong

Somehow something tells me

That you’ll be watching over me as life moves on

And now that there are no more worries,

You finally are free.

But ever since you went away

Life has not been the same

Yet, it comforts me to know

That one day we’ll meet again.
