Sharon Driben passed away on May 16, 2026, in Los Angeles, California, after battling Stage 4 lung cancer. She was 77 years old.

Born on June 20, 1948, in Massachusetts, Sharon lived a life marked by independence, intelligence, and compassion. She was known for her great sense of humor, kindness, generosity, and genuine love for others.

Sharon had a successful career and served as Vice President of Washington Mutual Bank. She took great pride in living independently and being financially self-sufficient, accomplishments that reflected her determination and strength.

An avid reader, Sharon had a deep passion for literature and also loved the arts and music. She was remarkably intelligent, well-educated, and always interested in current events and the state of the country. Her independent spirit and strong convictions were admired by those who knew her.

Sharon would like to be remembered for her literary passion, her love of the arts and music, her intelligence, her compassion, and her wonderful sense of humor. Above all, she will be remembered as a kind, loving, and generous person whose loyalty to family and friends never wavered.

Sharon is survived by her older brother, Paul, and sister-in-law, Elaine; her niece and nephew; and her surrogate niece, Rachel of Vancouver, Washington.

She was preceded in death by her father and mother.

In accordance with Sharon's wishes, no funeral services will be held. She requested to be cremated, and her ashes will be scattered at sea.

Sharon will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
