With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Shawna Ryan, who passed away on September 3, 2026, in Long Beach. She was born on April 20, 1966, in Nebraska.

Shawna built a career in accounting, where her hardworking nature, organization, and attention to detail served her well. She approached both her work and her life with dedication and quiet determination.

She found joy in reading, listening to podcasts, watching true crime documentaries, and dancing. A tomboy at heart, Shawna was quiet and reserved, yet she formed deep and lasting friendships. She was the person others could count on for a listening ear, thoughtful advice, and unwavering support. She always gave the best, personalized, and most thoughtful gifts to all her loved ones. Those who knew her appreciated her kindness, loyalty, and the genuine care she showed to those she loved.

Among her proudest accomplishments were raising her three sons, earning her college degree, and becoming a grandmother. Her family was at the center of her life, and she treasured every moment spent with them.

Shawna was very proud of her Irish heritage - she was definitely stubborn, and a redhead at that. She would want to be remembered exactly as she was… strong, compassionate, and full of love. The love she poured into all of her relationships was something truly special, and it will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. She will be remembered for her strength, her heart, and the love she gave so freely to those around her.

She is lovingly survived by her sons, Devin, Bryan, and Shane; her nephews, Jason and Kevin; her brothers, Ritch, Kelly, and Dan; her grandchildren, Pantera, Jackson, Rylan, Cory, Ellery, and Casey; and her daughters-in-law, Cindy and Rachel.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Betty, and her father, Chuck; and her brothers Dean and Rob.

No words can describe how much Shawna will be missed. She was a best friend to many, and her kindness, wisdom, and unwavering presence touched countless lives. Her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and friends, who will forever cherish the love and support she so freely gave.
