Sofia Stefania Agras of Santa Monica, California passed away on December 8, 2025 after a long illness. Born in Pittsburgh, PA on March 14, 1964, she was a graduate of Winchester Thurston High School (Class of 1982) and Vassar College (Class of 1986) as an art history major.
Her passion was business innovation and growth strategies, working as a business feasibility coach and advisor to women entrepreneurs. She had been part of the founding team of several startups in Los Angeles and San Francisco. As a startup coach, she had mentored hundreds of entrepreneurs, guiding them through stages from idea validation to successful exits.
She was also a market researcher at Harvard Business School and a writer/producer for Sony Pictures Television. She also studied journalism at Columbia University.
Her hobbies included tennis, skiing, and scuba diving.
She was the daughter of the late Arthur A. Agras and the late Artemis Contis Agras Manos. She is survived by her brother Rod A. Agras of Greensburg, PA and her uncle and aunt James and Electra Agras of Mt. Lebanon, PA.
