Spencer Edward Carlos Coatsworth Alexander
Obituary

Spencer was born in San Diego, CA at Mercy Hospital on May 20, 1985, at 8:14 PM.  His father later that night said he had watched a miracle.

When he was not even a year old, his family temporarily moved to Ann Arbor, MI where his Dad, Mom and he lived with his grandparents.  He woke every morning with a huge smile on his face.

After  that, his family moved to San Jose, CA, Walnut Creek, CA, Butte, Montana, Spokane, WA and finally Castle Rock, CO in 1998 where he graduated from Douglas County High School in 2003.

He left for college in California 10 days after graduation.  He went to a few different colleges, and managed a trip to China, (where was told by a guard to stop break-dancing on the Great Wall), and two back-packing trips to Europe.

His professional life was primarily work in Hospitals, where he worked on compliance issues, regulatory issues and patients’ rights for over 8 years.  ,

He married Robert Vance Alexander in the Spring of 2021 via ZOOM during Covid while working for a hospital system in Sacramento.  They then moved to Los Angeles, where he had been working on finishing his bachelor’s degree so he could go to law school.

He died unexpectedly on January 27th, 2026.
