Sylvia Ann Moore was born on December 22, 1953, in Los Angeles, California. She passed away peacefully on December 28, 2025, in Glendale, California, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Sylvia was a funny, outgoing, and loving woman who brought joy and laughter wherever she went. She had a gift for storytelling and spent much of her life writing books, traveling, and creating meaningful memories with her family. For over forty years, she dedicated herself as a homemaker, pouring her heart into caring for those she loved.

She was deeply proud of her role as a devoted mother and grandmother, and she cherished her family above all else. Sylvia also took great pride in her work as a writer, using her creativity and voice to leave pieces of herself behind for others to enjoy.

Sylvia wished to be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, auntie, and friend, roles she fulfilled with warmth, humor, and an open heart. Her kindness and laughter left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her.

She is survived by her two sons, Malcolm Moore and Tyson D. Clay; her grandchildren Leona Moore, Malcolm Moore Jr., and Joy; Delisa Carlisle, the mother of her grandchildren; her sisters Gwen and Cheryl; her niece Laloni; and her nephews Ricky Moore and Damon Moore.

She was preceded in death by Gayle Moore, who lovingly cared for her as a babysitter and held a special place in her life.

Sylvia will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. We love you and celebrate your homecoming.
