Tony M. Clark, Sr. 72, of Seattle Washington but a native of Charleston, West Virginia, departed this life on July 18, 2026. He was born on December 23, 1953, to the late Evangelist Katherine Louise Mitchell-Clark and James C. Clark, Sr. of Charleston WV.

Tony Clark was preceded in death by his brothers: Stanley D. Clark Jr., James C. Clark,Jr., Christopher Clark; sisters: Mary Louise Breckenridge; paternal grandparents: Robert Patrick Clark and Helen Lucille Davis-Clark, maternal grandparents: George C. Mitchell, Sr. and Martha Alice Williams-Mitchell; Aunts Lorraine Clark-Isaac, JoAnn Clark, Patricia “Patty” Clark, Uncles; Rudy Clark, Freddie Clark, Marshall Clark.

Tony was formerly educated in Charleston, West Virginia, attending elementary at the former Fruth Elementary School, John Adams Junior High and the great Charleston High School, West Virginia State University. He was a graduate of Elizabeth City North Carolina University, and he held 3 college degrees. Tony was fluent in American Sign Language; he would fill in at local churches and conferences to do sign language for the hearing impaired.  Tony was a military veteran of the United States Airforce and received an honorable discharge.

Tony was introduced to God at a very early age by his mother and he carried that teaching throughout his life through the good and the bad. Tony had many aunts and uncles, but his favorite aunt was Edith Mithchell, and his favorite uncle/dad was George C. Mitchell, Jr. (Uncle June). During the last 30 plus years of Tony's life living in Seattle Washington, he had his brother Marvin Clark there with him and when Marvin was in the hospital for 16 months Tony would go and tend to him. Marvin and Tony's brotherly relationship was sometimes on the “rough side of the mountain”. Tony would call Marvin his knuckle-head brother.

He leaves to mourn his passing: son:  Tony Maureese Clark, Jr., daughter: JoVanna Moss, son: Sosiah Maurese Nesmith; grandson: Marquise Jasean Clark, granddaughter: Jayda Sidhilall; grandsons: Jordin Sidhilall, Jayce Sidhilall; great granddaughter: Angel Sidhilall; sisters: Warrenetta “Twinkle” Clark, Zelma “Nancy” Delmore ,Gretchen Louise Clark-Petty;  brothers: Victor Clark, Johnny & Jerry Clark, Michael Clark, Kinster Davis-Clark, Marvin Clark, Jeffrey Clark, Dana Campbell, Patrick Clark; aunts:  Darrlyn Clark, Merril Clark, Loraine Clark-Farmer; his favorite great- niece, Anaisia Griffin who he called “Nae-Poo”, a close friend that Tony consider his brother, Timothy Greene, he helped Tony tremendously; A host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins and friends.
