Travis Wilson Land, a devoted husband, loving father, cherished son, brother, loyal friend, and highly respected leader in the Houston community, passed away peacefully on May 16, 2026, just days before his 46th birthday.

Born in Houston, Texas, to Kenneth and Maxie Land, Travis grew up with a natural charisma, a fierce work ethic, and a heart that always put others first. He carried his signature drive and warmth to Texas Tech University, where he graduated in 2002. During his time in Lubbock, he was a proud and active member of the Sigma Chi fraternity, forging bonds of friendship that lasted a lifetime. It was also the place that sparked his lifelong devotion to his beloved Red Raiders.

Following graduation, Travis embarked on what would become a legendary 24-year career in commercial real estate, joining Partners Real Estate in 2002. Through unyielding integrity, a client-first approach, and a natural brilliance for business, Travis became a pillar of the Houston real estate industry. His professional legacy is defined by massive milestones, including rising to become a Partner in the firm at the young age of 27, and executing over 1,100 transactions totaling more than 32 million square feet.

Travis was recognized as a "Heavy Hitter" by the Houston Business Journal an incredible 11 times, was named the NAIOP Industrial Broker of the Year in 2023, and earned the distinction of being Partners' #1 Overall Producer in 2021, 2023, 2024, and 2025. A natural mentor and leader, he also dedicated his time as a former President of the SIOR Gulf Coast Chapter and served as an inaugural board member on the Center for Real Estate Advisory Council at Texas Tech University. Yet, despite all the accolades, Travis remained entirely grounded, always attributing his success to the synergy of his team and the trust of his clients.

The book The Daily Dad quotes a poignant poem claiming that life simply does not give us enough hours to balance love, work, and friendship—suggesting that we are ultimately forced to choose just two. Travis spent his 45 years proving that theory completely wrong. He cracked the code of a well-lived life, masterfully pouring his boundless energy into all three. He was a titan at work, a fiercely loyal friend, and above all, a deeply devoted family man who never sacrificed one for the other.

While Travis conquered the business world, his true masterpiece was always his family. On August 3, 2013, he married the love of his life, Erin. Together, they built a beautiful life anchored by unconditional love, laughter, and mutual devotion. Travis’s greatest role, however, was being a present husband and father. He was fiercely and undeniably proud of his beautiful wife and their three children: Lily, Vivian, and Levi. They were the center of his universe, and his eyes lit up completely whenever he spoke of them. No matter how demanding his career became, Travis always made sure his children knew they were his top priority.

He loved nothing more than being outdoors hunting and fishing, listening to country music, spending quality time with his closest friends, and passionately coaching his children's sports teams. On the field, he wasn't just a coach; he was a mentor who instilled confidence in them. At home, he was their safe harbor, their constant protector, and their biggest cheerleader. Travis poured everything he had into guiding Lily, Vivian, and Levi with infinite patience, strength, and an abundance of love that they will carry with them forever. He proved to everyone who knew him that with enough heart, you truly can have it all.

Travis’s life glorified what it meant to live fully, love deeply, and lead by ex-ample. His laughter, generosity, and vibrant spirit leave an undeniable void in the hearts of all who knew him, but his legacy will live on through his family, his friendships, and the profound impact he left on all of Houston.

Travis is survived by his loving wife, Erin Land; his children, Lily, Vivian, and Levi Land; his mother, Maxie Land; his sister, Heather Fauss, ex-brother in law Deryl Fauss and their children, Emma and Hudson Fauss. He is also survived by his mother-in-law, Yolanda (Yogi) Ingram; sister-in-law, Stacy Ingram; brother-in-law, Bill Ingram, alongside his wife Erin and their children, Henry, Elle, and Davis Ingram; as well as a vast network of extended family, lifelong friends, and colleagues. He was preceded in death by his beloved father, Kenneth Land, with whom he is now peacefully reunited.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Travis' memory to the Brookwood Community at www.brookwoodcommunity.org/donate, and organization dedicated to changing the way the world thinks about adults with disabilities.

Or, to Spring Branch - Memorial Sports Association, where Travis was a dedicated coach. He spent many hours encouraging, mentoring, and cheering on young athletes through this organization.
