Valerie Bagdasarian Turner passed away peacefully in her home in Riverside, California, on October 15, 2025. She was born on June 10, 1943, in Fowler, California.
Valerie dedicated her life to education and to the many students whose lives she touched. She began her career teaching Home Economics and later went on to teach Math and Health. Over the course of forty years, she inspired countless young people with her patience, dependability, and caring spirit.
Outside the classroom, Valerie found joy in creativity and craftsmanship. She had a passion for crochet, knitting, and quilting. She also enjoyed traveling the world, taking in the beauty of new places and experiences.
Among her greatest joys in life were her daughter and her beautiful granddaughter, whom she considered her proudest legacy.
Valerie is survived by her husband Richard Turner; granddaughter Abigail Brown; sister-in-law SueElla Robinson; brother-in-law Jack Robinson; son-in-law Chip Brown; brother Ralph Bagdasarian; and sister-in-law Brenda Bagdasarian. She was preceded in death by her daughter Charlotte Brown; her parents Ruth and Alex Bagdasarian; and her grandmother Hanronush Bagdasarian.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Valerie will be remembered for her dedication to teaching, her creative spirit, and the warmth she brought to the lives of those around her. Her love and kindness will be deeply missed.
