Vincent Kotchounian Robinson was born in the city of Les Lilas, in France, and passed away peacefully on November 21st, 2025, at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, California, after a courageous battle with Stage 4 Lung Cancer.

His last sentiment to his mother Arlette Kotchounian was “I am Ok.”

Vincent was known for his introverted nature, his lone wolf spirit, and his unique sense of humor. A man of both creativity and free spirit. He had a passion for DJing and loved to work with his hands building bicycles and flying custom drones.

He was also a licensed Mixed Martial arts instructor who approached his work with dedication and focus.

Those who knew Vincent recognized his kind and compassionate heart. He had a deep appreciation for nature, animals, music, and the simple, good things in life. His creativity and authenticity drew people to him, and he was easily loved in return. Vincent received his Gohonzon in 2012 and was supported in his Buddhist practice by his dear friend and sponsor in faith, Phillip Yi.

Throughout his life, his heart reflected that of a Buddha—seeking the essence rather than the superficial.

Vincent was proud of his accomplishments, including graduating from Marymount College and USC, as well as his many travels that enriched his life—memorable journeys through Asia, Cuba, Puerto Rico, and France.

He is survived by his mother, his uncle, nieces, cousins, and little cousins, along with his French, American and Armenian families, and friends, each of whom loved him dearly and will forever carry his memory in their hearts.

He was preceded in death by his father Ray Charles Robinson. and this year, his childhood friend Yannis Cullaz.

His mother believes Vincent was “A Prince who had a very pure soul.”
