Virginia Josephine Wagner, affectionately known as Ginny, passed away peacefully on September 4, 2026, in Tucson, AZ, at the age of 99. Born on August 2, 1927. Ginny lived a vibrant life characterized by her strength, love, and determination.

Ginny's career as a Registered Nurse was marked by compassion and dedication, a testament to her lifelong commitment to the healthcare field.

Her personal life was filled with joyous relationships and beloved family members, Ginny is survived by her stepson, Barry Wagner, daughter-in-law, Jill Wagner, and stepdaughter, Susan Blazak. She was preceded in death by her father, Emile G. Cottave; mother, Amelia Marguerite Rafette Cottave; sister, Cecile Janet, (Cee Cee) Cee Cee; Aunt, Louise R. Hughes, and her husband Albert Ross Wagner.

Virginia and Bert had a long and loving marriage. They married in June of 1969. They moved from Long Beach to Palm Springs and built a home in Yucca Valley. They loved entertaining and shared their home with their loyal dog Rusty. They loved to travel and took many cruises. Later, they moved to the Tucson area and eventually settled in Carmel Pointe, Oro Valley. They were active in the community and made many friends over the years that they lived in Carmel Pointe.

Ginny had a rich tapestry of interests that reflected her dynamic personality. She was an avid tennis player, a skilled bridge player, and served as a docent at the Tohono Chul Botanical Gardens. Her leadership skills shone brightly during her tenure as President of the Carmel Pointe Homeowners Association, where she made many lasting contributions to the community.

Ginny's life was a portrait of dedication and passion, from her professional endeavors to her personal hobbies and community involvement. Her legacy will live on in the hearts of those who knew her and were touched by her generous spirit and unwavering resolve.
