Vicky Condra, a longtime resident of Baytown, Texas, passed away peacefully into the presence of her Savior, Jesus Christ, on August 3, 2026.  Vicky was a devoted mother, a voracious reader and writer.

Vicky was born in Houston, Texas, on August 2, 1941, to Vernon and Allie Richie. She attended school in Houston and graduated from high school in Harlingen, Texas. After returning to Houston, she met William Riley Condra. The two were married and later moved to South Dakota. Following his service in the Air Force, they settled in Baytown, where Vicky raised their three sons, William, Scott, and Brian.

She retired from Exxon after more than 25 years as an electrician and radio technician. In retirement, she turned her attention to writing short stories and was published in several publications. Many of her stories drew on her experiences working as a woman in the male-dominated refinery environment of the 1980s.

Vicky was preceded in death by her sons Scott and Brian Condra of Baytown, her husband William Riley Condra, her mother-in-law Ayesha Condra, and her brother-in-law Chuck Condra. She is survived by her son William and daughter-in-law Elda Condra, granddaughter Katie Harrison, and grandson Scott Condra.

Friends are cordially invited to a memorial in the chapel of St. John the Evangelist Church in Baytown at 7pm on September 12th, 2026.  More details will be shared in the coming days at:
