Albrecht Becker Obituary

May 12, 1943 – May 3, 2025

With heavy hearts and deep gratitude for a life well lived, we announce the peaceful passing of Albrecht Becker, who left this world on May 3, 2025, just shy of his 82nd birthday. He passed away in Cerritos, California, after a long journey with dementia, surrounded by the love of his family.

Born on May 12, 1943, in Germany, Albrecht carried with him a quiet strength, a sharp intellect, and a deep love for both language and the natural world. He pursued his passion for learning, earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Germanic Languages, a foundation that reflected his deep appreciation for culture, history, and communication. His curiosity about the world never waned.

Albrecht found joy in life’s simple pleasures and great adventures alike. An avid surfer in his younger days, he was most at home near the ocean, where the rhythm of the waves mirrored his calm and thoughtful nature. He also had a love for racquetball, which kept him active and energized throughout much of his adult life.

He shared a beautiful life with his beloved wife, Carol Becker, who preceded him in death. Together, they built a warm and loving home and raised two children who were the pride of his life. He was a devoted and steady father to Andrew Becker and Angelique Enemoto, offering quiet encouragement, wisdom, and unwavering love throughout their lives.

In his retirement, Albrecht embraced a spirit of exploration, traveling widely and collecting memories rather than possessions. Whether revisiting places from his youth or discovering new destinations, he carried with him a sense of wonder and appreciation for life’s journey.

Albrecht will be remembered for his gentle demeanor, thoughtful conversations, and deep loyalty to those he loved. Though never one to seek the spotlight, his presence brought peace and steadiness to the lives of those around him. He would wish simply to be remembered kindly, and for those he loved to carry forward the values he held dear—integrity, curiosity, and care for one another.

Albrecht is survived by his son, Andrew Becker, and daughter, Angelique Enemoto, who will forever hold his memory close. His legacy lives on in the lives he shaped and the quiet love he gave so freely.

A private family gathering will be held to honor and celebrate Albrecht’s life.
