Marta Heredia Marta Obituary

July 2, 1943 – April 9, 2025

With love in our hearts and tears in our eyes, we share the peaceful passing of Marta Marta on April 9, 2025, in Los Angeles, California. Born on July 2, 1943, in Santa Fe, Argentina, Marta brought warmth, laughter, and light to all who knew her. Her life was a beautiful example of strength, kindness, and unwavering devotion to family.

Marta had a remarkable ability to make people feel at home. With her sharp wit and signature sense of humor—both funny and delightfully sarcastic—she could light up a room. But beneath her quick comebacks and infectious laugh was a heart full of compassion and deep care for the people she loved. She was someone you could always count on, especially in the moments you needed her most. Her warmth, her hugs, and her radiant smile left an imprint on every soul she touched.

Her passions were rooted in simple joys—tending to her garden, curling up with a good book, cheering at every family BBQ or soccer match, or chatting with relatives near and far. She loved nothing more than being surrounded by her children, grandchildren, and great-grandson, attending every birthday, holiday, school play, or game. These gatherings were where she shone most—her presence was the glue that held everyone close.

Marta’s work ethic was unmatched. She proudly held positions at Western Electric Co. in New Jersey for 12 years, then continued to pour her energy and love into childcare at La Petite Academy in California for another 12. She finished her working years at Ensign Bickford Aerospace & Defense Company, where she led with grace as a supervisor before retiring. In every role, she gave her all—motivated not by recognition, but by a desire to contribute meaningfully and build a better life for her family.

Marta also found great joy in seeing the world—traveling to both Europe and South America—an experience she cherished deeply and spoke of with pride.

Her greatest pride, without question, was her family. She gave everything she had—time, energy, wisdom, and love—and received in return the pure joy of watching her children and grandchildren grow, thrive, and create families of their own. Her great-grandson was a bright star in her later years, bringing laughter and light that mirrored her own.

Marta is survived by her beloved soulmate, Lou; her devoted children, Adrian and Roxana; her treasured grandchildren, Joey, Jaclyn, Gabby, and Abby; her adored great-grandson, Lucas; her loving sisters Ana and Nora; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family who loved her deeply.

Her family will be holding a private celebration of life in her honor, cherishing her memory and the legacy of love she leaves behind.

Though we are heartbroken, we are comforted by the beautiful memories she gave us—the way she made us laugh, the way she always showed up, and the way she made every moment feel like home.

"Te queremos mucho, Marta, Mi Amor, Mami, Abuela y Abu. You will always be with us."

That Morning
We little knew that morning, God was going to call your name,
In life we loved you dearly, In death we do the same.
It broke our hearts to lose you, You did not go alone.
For part of us went with you, The day God called you home.
You left us beautiful memories, Your love is still our guide,
And although we can't see you, You are always by our side.
Our family chain is broken, And nothing seems the same,
But as God calls us one by one, The chain will link again.
