Norma Renee Hale Obituary

February 27, 1964 – May 3, 2025

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Norma Renee Hale, a beloved mother, wife, sister, grandmother, and friend. Norma passed away peacefully on May 3, 2025, at City of Hope in Duarte, California, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was 61 years old.

Born on February 27, 1964, Norma lived a life rooted in love, compassion, and quiet strength. She dedicated her career to caring for others as a nurse, embodying the same warmth and kindness she shared so freely with her family and friends. Though soft-spoken, Norma had a beautiful spirit that shone brightly once you got to know her. She was loving, social, and deeply caring—someone people naturally gravitated toward.

Her proudest accomplishments were not found in accolades or titles, but in the deep and lasting love she poured into her family. She was an extraordinary mother to Karrina Mackey, Kenneth Mackey, and Gary Liggins, and a devoted grandmother to Carter and Summer Liggins, with whom she shared many cherished memories. Her joy was spending time with her family, and her face lit up most when surrounded by her children and grandchildren.

Norma is survived by her son Gary Liggins, her husband Willie Carroll, daughter Karrina Mackey, son Kenneth Mackey, her siblings Earl Hale, Veronica Hale, and Peggy Spencer, and her beloved grandchildren Carter and Summer. She is preceded in death by her parents Elmore and Dorothy, sisters Brenda and Mona, brothers Richard and Ambrose, and the father of Kenneth and Karrina.

Those who knew Norma will remember her not just for the love she gave, but for the quiet strength with which she lived. She leaves behind a legacy of compassion, family devotion, and resilience. She would want to be remembered as a loving mother, a loyal sister, and a kind soul who always put others before herself.

Her absence leaves a space no one can fill, but her love remains with us always.
