Born on November 9, 1942, in Surrey, England, Sandra brought a gentle warmth into the world that she carried with her wherever she went. A quiet and kindly soul, Sandra lived a rich and meaningful life filled with creativity, compassion, and connection.
In the 1960s, Sandra trained under an acclaimed London Society hairdresser, honing her craft and launching a career that would take her across the Atlantic. She became a highly skilled hair colourist, building a successful career in Los Angeles, where her dedication and artistry left a lasting impression on colleagues and clients alike.
Sandra had an adventurous spirit and a deep love of travel. She journeyed extensively throughout the United States and Europe, always maintaining strong ties with her family and friends in the UK. Her Santa Monica home became a welcoming hub for gatherings over the years, where she graciously hosted loved ones with her signature warmth and hospitality.
A lover of the arts, Sandra found joy in painting and expressed herself beautifully through her artwork. She was also passionate about skiing and tennis—pursuits that brought her both vitality and joy.
Sandra is survived by her beloved sisters, Cherie Lynn Cole and Lorraine Hannah Knights, as well as extended family in England, who will carry her memory forward with love and tenderness. She is preceded in death by her parents, Catherine and Alec Marshall.
